President + Chief Creative Officer Chuck Underwood leads the Metro Crew. Chuck has over 23 years of experience in marketing communications, and his combination of strategy, creative and production expertise gives clients a unique advantage. He has led creative teams, stood with the pressman as jobs come off the press, seen direct mail go through inserters and postage machines, been behind the camera on video shoots, coded web sites, and built social media campaigns. He has seen first hand what works and what doesn’t. His design work has won Triangle Advertising and other marketing awards, and he has served on numerous marketing and publicity committees throughout the Triangle, including Boy Scouts, Ronald McDonald House and the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic.
Chuck earned his MBA degree with a marketing concentration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC. The ability to align creative ideas and business strategy has been invaluable to Chuck’s clients. He works directly with marketing strategy, creative concepts, budgets and estimates, and has even been known to deliver jobs to meet deadlines.
