The UNC Health Foundation is the fundraising arm of the UNC Medical School and UNC Health. Finding ways to communicate to a diverse constituency is one of their main challenges. Metro creates a comprehensive, branded campaign to not only reach but motivate alumnae and friends of the school. Recent projects include moving the Annual Report and other communication pieces to on-line delivery.
As budgets tighten, Annual Reports become difficult to justify due to the high printing and mailing costs. Metro designed the Annual Report, but used our high-end digital press to print a few copies for large donors and Board members. A postcard was sent to other constituents to view the Annual Report on-line, where a special web page was set up for the report.
This piece is the main solicitation package for the Loyalty Fund. Images of students and alumni are mixed with success stories and financial data to provide a compelling message. The Foundation used Metro to re-design, print and mail this piece to over 6,000 medical school alumnae.
Like many organizations, the Foundation has implemented e-newsletters in their communication strategy. Metro set up the process for the client to handle the distribution— Metro designs the customized quarterly newsletter and the Foundation staff easily sends it out.
Holiday, Year-End and other supplemental mailings round out the Medical Foundation’s direct mail strategy. Metro creates a consistent look in all the pieces, and uses personalization, QR codes and digital printing to drive response.
